historical background

The Dermatology Practice in the Feldherrnhalle was founded in 1987 in the Preysing Palace in the heart of Munich by Prof. Dr. Dr. Christoph Luderschmidt. The Preysing Palais, a magnificent Rococo palace, was constructed between 1723 and 1728 by master builder Joseph Effner for Count Johann Maximilian IV of Preysing, the teacher and adviser of Elector Karl Albrecht (who later became Emperor Karl VII). Its initial purpose was as a city palace residence. Our medical practice is now on the sixth floor of this wonderful historical building. It extends over 200 square metres, where we perform the most modern, scientifically based dermatological diagnosis and therapy.
